Supervisory Civil Engineer, D.C. Department of Transportation (DDOT), Infrastructure Project Management Administration (IPMA), (August 2003- Present)

·        Civil Engineering Project Manager, Manage, coordinate, direct, monitor and evaluate of the design and completion of million dollar transportation projects, from design through construction. Identify funding opportunities and write work statements for our projects to be funded. Provides technical and administrative guidance to the team members and support staff on matters involving design and construction of bridges, tunnels and roadway projects. Prepares accurate work estimates and project scopes for assigning work, effectively quantifying project risks, and accurately assessing stakeholder interests and presenting findings to the Transportation Program Manger. Maintains an up-to-date status on all projects assigned to the Civil Engineering Project Manager team. Measures and monitors projects Progress to ensure milestones, commitments and schedules of all parties involved are on schedule. Reviews all requests for changes to the assigned projects and ascertains whether authorization to implement scope and change is required. Initiate justification and corresponding to obtain approval and funds as required.

·        Construction Manager, Work includes oversight, inspect, and monitor construction operations and project progress. Evaluate, redistribute and assigns work and resources to achieve the most effective deployment of resources to complete each project on time and within budget. Civil Engineer, Ministry of Electricity, Egypt, 1991 - 1994

·        Reviewed and approved design and construction of structural part of electricity station that was prepared by Siemens, West German Company. Performed design and cost analysis for apartment buildings, office buildings, highways, roadways and foundations for electrical generators. Reviewed and evaluated civil/structural designs including calculations, drawings and specifications, while reducing costs and improving quality. Testing and certification of concrete, soils, aggregates and other materials used in construction of road and structures.
